Indian New Delhi Humayun's Tomb Reviews
By far amongst the most beautiful places in Delhi is Humanyun's tomb. The resting place of the Mughal emperor Humanyun, constuted for him bu his wife. It is a World heritage Monument and has been renovated beautifully. All the grounds have been landscaped and the old waterways have been restored. The Humanyun's tomb served as an inspiration for the Taj Mahal and the similarity can be seen very clearly. The Humayun's Tomb was the first to use sandstone and marble. Apart from this historical data, once you enter the area its hard to believe that a place so beautiful exists in the heart of the city among the hustle and bustle. It is one of my favourite places in Delhi. If you want to experience a bit of history in peaceful and serene surroundings don't give this place a miss. It is probably the best monument in Delhi.
A lof of tourinsts flock to this place so it's better to go early morning when it just opens. The morning light really adds to the beauty of this place. Also it's pretty hassle free, no hawkers or other annoyances. It's well located, easy to reach plus there are other sites close by that can be visited.
