Don't Believe Everything You Hear: Kareena
Tanushree Datta is worried for all the Women
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and loads of people come out to support this cause, which is the number one disease that effects women across the world. One celebrity who is definitely going to show solidarity for this cause is the Bengali Beauty Tanushree Dutta. She says, "I have seen a close friend who has survived this dreadful disease and since then I have been an avid supporter of this cause.I just don't pick up one day in the whole month to promote awareness, but go all out and spread the word throughout the month.I usually sport the pink ribbon as well. I wish every woman gets access to the right diagnosis and treatment and doesn't have to suffer." We support this beauty and hope more people come out to support this cause as well.
Vidya Balan is in love with Naseer
Even though one hears they ended up discussing the film and cinema at length instead of doing a serious workshop, vidya still treasures the experience and is looking forward to working with Naseer in the film. "Vidya also learnt to speak the UP dialect during those ten days. "Vidya was just not familiar with UP kind of Hindi. She mastered it by getting a teacher to teach her the exact dialect."Guess Vidya lives up to her name!
Hrithik's most sensuous film to date
While stories about all kinds of calamities, manmade and otherwise, are filtering in from the US regarding Anurag Basu's now-you-steamy-no-you-don't film Kites, father and son Rakesh and Hrithik Roshan are happily shooting the film to complete it in the first week of October.Though the original Director of Photography Bobby Singh has opted out, the Roshans claim there was no illwill involved in the changeover.Says Hrithik from Las Vegas, "It was an amicable split. Now Ayananka Bose is doing it."Ayananka Bose who was a former assistant to the well-known cinematographer Ravi Chandran has shot Yashraj Films' Jhoom Baraabar Jhoom. The change, says Hrithik, has made no difference to the project, " We shifted earlier this week to Las Vegas as per plan. We're now here in Vegas for a month. Then we shoot in LA for eight days. After that we're done."Kangana Ranaut who plays a female lead in Kites has just joined the Roshans and her favourite director Anurag Basu in Vegas. After working with Kangana in Gangster and Metro Basu strongly recommended the actress to the Roshans who liked what they saw.According the sources, the change of guard behind the camera makes no difference to the chemistry between Hrithik and Barbara."The two sizzle together. This is Hrithik's most sensuous film to date. The accent here is not only on his dancing(which Hrithik has to go easy on after his knee injury and recovery), but on his ability to generate sensuality which has so far remained largely under wraps, the chemistry with Aishwarya in Dhoom 2 notwithstanding. In Kites director Anurag Basu has shot another more sensuous side of Hrithik."According to sources the scenes between Hrithik and Mori were so intimate and sensuous that papa Rakesh Roshan would gently be asked to leave the set.The Roshans are not talking about the film's sensuous theme and scenes. But Rakesh Roshan does inform that all is smooth-sailing with Kites. "We are on schedule. After finishing shooting in New Mexico on 12 September we've shifted to Las Vegas. From here we'll relocate for the last lap of the US shooting to Los Angeles on Oct 3. We're returning to Mumbai on 12 October, " the senior Roshan signs off..
Angry Saif protests against assault charge
A report in the papers on Monday claiming Saif to be guilty of assault, intimidation and inciting violence against a Hindi photojournalist in Patiala, has the star not quite angry or anxious but definitely a little exasperated.Speaking to me on Monday afternoon Saif protests, "First of all the news report has got the name of the film wrong. We weren't shooting for 3 Idiots. I am not a part of that film, Kareena is.I was shooting for Imtiaz Ali's film which I am producing. I wasn't even there when this incident happened. We've been shooting in the nights on the railway station in Patiala for the last three days. This incident supposedly happened in the evening before shooting started..Apparently there was some kind of an argument with a photojournalist, whose name I don't even know. All my unit members including my producer partner Dinesh Vijeyan apologized to all concerned. And I thought the matter ended there."The next thing Saif knew the journalist had reported the matter to the police.Sighs Saif, "I really think all this is so unnecessary. I paid a goodwill to the the cops and the press in Patiala. Everything is okay now."This isn't the first occasion when Saif has been in a scuffle with mediapersons."But I hope it's the last, " he sighs. "All this uncalled-for attention can be very annoying. We're here in Patiala to work and we love the place. We aren't here to get into ugly situations with anyone.".
Aishwarya, the dream woman of every man
This issue of Vogue serves nothing short of a feast …a 'Worldly' feast!
Neha Dhupia:I can't stand good-looking men
Your man will be from?Definitely not from the (film) industry. What's the Reason?Very simple. I don’t have a liking for industry men much. Secondly, I would not like to discuss films after coming back home from work.Would he be a metrosexual man?No way! I detest metrosexual men right from my childhood. Why so?Because, I just cannot stand men who pedicure and manicure. I remember telling my father why do these men not leave pedicure and manicure to women.Do you mean to say that men should leave their fingers and feet unclean? No, not at all. I don’t mean them to remain dirty, but cleanliness not at the cost of being manly. They should not exhibit feminine qualities.Would he be very good looking?I cannot stand good-looking men. Then? He has to be someone who is robust and has a manly appearance.A man with brain or brawn?A man with brain would be my choice.Would he need to be rich?See, I prefer a man to excel in earning and leave the spending to me (laughs). - Pratik Maheshwari
I'm single, Riteish is just my friend: Genelia D'Souza
Imran Khan's petite and perky costar Genelia D'Souza in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na started her career with Mr Bachchan, no less."I did a Parker pen ad with him when I was still a kid. It seems I've been acting forever. Strangely acting was never an option. That ad was directed by Mansoor Khan. He kept me in mind for Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, and here I am."She continues, "Actually this film was being produced by Jhamu Sugandh first. That's when I screen -tested for the role of Aditi. I met the director Abbas Tyrewalla and he almost finalized me.But he needed bulk dates from me and I was busy down South. He wanted to shoot at stretch. I couldn't do. I got busy in the South. Then one day I got a call from Aamir Khan's office.Abbas wanted a complete newcomer. But Aamir wanted a girl who suited the character. The next thing I knew, I was on board."Genelia says she was never that keen on an acting career. "But when I saw how I was appreciated down South I fell in love with the industry.I've been lucky. I didn't plan anything. I've never contacted a single producer. So far it's been an awesome journey."After Tamil and Telugu Genelia has just made her debut in Kannada film. "I'm sure I'll be able to dub in all the South Indian languages soon. I know I can do it. I just need to get the slangs and colloquialisms correct. Honestly I need to dub my own lines in the South to give complete performances."In Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na Genelia plays a girl quite like herself. "Except for one detail. Aditi picks fights with every damn person. I'm not like that.I'd rather talk it out than fight. I had to really let go to be fighting on screen all the time. The workhops really help. Both Imran and I are close to the characters. But we also discovered new facets of ourselves while playing the characters."Like Asin, Genelia is now dividing her time between Bollywood and the South. "I'm getting a lot of calls in Mumbai. I want to balance it out. But the priority would be Hindi films right now because I've worked really long in the South. But my South Indian films are also very important. I get very satisfying roles in Tamil and Telugu. And I can't let them go. Let's just say I'll do one film down South for every two films I do here.In any case they wrap up their films super-fast down South."The rumours about Genelia D'Souza and her first co-star Riteish Deshmukh have the child-woman flummoxed."I'm very much single. Riteish is a friend. But that's it. I've no idea where these rumours come from. We're both very busy. When we occasionally meet up we're normal with one another, not the least selfconscious about what's written about us.I'm very new to all this. I've done the two films with Riteish Tujko Meri Kasam and Masti….I started young, yes. In 2003 I had three releases in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, " the Mumbai girl informs me."I got busy with the South that 's the only reason why it took me so long to get noticed in Bollywood. There's a buzz about Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na because it is Imran's debut film. I'm definitely looking at it as a high-potential film.I also had fun doing Priyadarshan's Mere Baap Pehle Aap. I enjoy doing films in all languages and genres."She also has It's My Life with Harman Baweja coming up."I've done the original in Telugu down South. Then I also did the remake in Tamil. Now I'm doing it in Hindi. The Tamil and Telugu versions were similar. But the Hindi version is very different. Today both the South and Hindi are high-potential industries for me. I'm still a newcomer in Bollywood." .
I didn't consciously decide to go bold: Amrita Rao
Amrita Rao in conversation with Subhash K. Jha… You recently shot a special song with Sanjay Dutt and Anil Kapoor. It's not an item song, as people seem to think. They both made me immensely comfortable. They have their own unique dancing style. Since both are legendary actors, I didn't know whom to match steps with. So, I just decided to be myself and do my own thing. I must say, all of us in Shortcut were overwhelmed by Mr Dutt's gesture. He came down to Mumbai only to shoot the song with us.You recently did a rather bold cover for Verve. What brought that on?It wasn't a conscious decision to be bold or anything. It all depends on how different artistes envision me.If Sooraj (Barjatya) could see me as this simple docile small-town girl in Vivah, then another person saw me the way I am on the mag cover. And if Farah Khan hadn't seen me as the grungy rebellious babe in Main Hoon Na after Ishq Vishq, I wouldn't have undergone such a change of image. But the sweet girl next door's image stays with you?And I'm very proud of that image. But when I did the Verve cover, people woke up to another side of me. I wouldn't say this is a more glamorous side of me.I'd say I was glamorous in Vivah and Main Hoon Na as well, though in an ethnic way. I hope I'm able to carry off all kinds of looks. At the moment I'm doing three films. In Shyam Benegal's Welcome To Sajjanpur, I'm an illiterate villager. In Anees Bazmee's Victory, I'm a Jaisalmer girl. But at the same time she's a medical student. So I play a small-town but modern girl. I like such roles. But in Neeraj Vora's Shortcut, I'm a completely glamorous girl. It's set in the film industry. Why aren't you in Sooraj Barjatya's Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi?I wasn't offered that. I'd love to be in anything that Sooraj-ji does. I consider my association with the Barjatyas to be very special.Recently, when Sooraj-ji was watching the rushes of Ek Vivaah…he sent me a very sweet message saying he remembered my character from Vivah. So maybe I was being missed. I like that thought. You seem to be a very petite fragile girl. How do you withstand all the negativity in the film industry?I don't think I'd have been able to be what I am if it wasn't for my mother.I started in the industry very young. I needed my mom to look into every aspect of my career. Today I'm working with both Neeraj Vora and Shyam Benegal. Both unique in their own way. You're the inspiration for M F Husain's latest paintings?I think he has immortalized me. When a senior journalist informed me I was Husain Saab's latest muse and that he was painting me, I was overwhelmed. It took time for that sink in. I think it was Sooraj Barjatya's character in Vivah that convinced Husain Saab. .
I do not get much time to do films: Shamita Shetty
She is sultry, she is seductive, and more than that, she is sexy siren Shilpa Shetty's lil' sis. But lil' sis of late seems to have taken up a fun masti number in a peppy Mirchi Movies' children's film Hari Puttar --- A Comedy of Terrors starring young leaders of the bratpack, Zain Khan and Swini Khara.A tete-a-tee with the actor on the eve of the release of Hari PuttarA Comedy of Terrors. You did a song for Hari Puttar… It is a fun song?Yes, but let me clarify that it was a promotional video and not part of the movie. The producers came to me after the film was shot. I liked the concept and took it on.How was the experience shooting with little kids?I enjoyed every moment. The idea was very cute. And I had to dance with kids. I found it interesting and so took it up. I think it is a fun song. The media has been terming it an item number. It is a masti number where I play myself. The song is peppy and Punjabi -- a fun song. To term it an item number is not fine. It is a kids film. What motivated you to do a kids film?I have never done a kids film. I wanted to do the song as like I said, the cuteness appealed to me.How was it working with Zain?Zain is a good actor. It was fun working with him.We don't see you much on the silver screen. What is reason for being selective?I am running my production house now. And it takes up a lot of my time. I do not get much time to do films and besides, I need something that I enjoy to take it up.It is said that Shilpa Shetty is making a film with you and Akshay Kumar in the lead roles?I wish I get these newsbreaks before you do. No, Shilpa was never making a film with me and Akshay Kumar. These stories are made up by media.Television. No, I haven't thought about it. I live one day a time. I don't know what the future holds for me. I would like to do a great job at what I have taken on right now. And if in the future, I get interested then well, it is a matter of that moment. What do you feel is the USP of Hari Puttar – A Comedy of Terrors? Why does anyone go to the theatre after buying a ticket? To be entertained. Hari Puttar – A Comedy of Terrors has that entertainment value. It is a fun film and I am sure that is one reason why everyone must see it.Talking of kids films, one parting question. How does it feel to seeTaare Zameen Par being chosen for the Oscars?Taare Zameen Par is a film that everybody loved. It is a brilliantly made film. I am very happy it has been chosen for the Oscars. And I am sure it will win. .
Saif - Kareena ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega
I am into a serious committed relationship right now: Tulip Joshi
Your man should be...What he is, nothing more, nothing less. One must-have quality in him?Honesty. I cannot tolerate lies and deceit. His profession?Does that really matter? Till the time he loves me, it is okay if he is into business, job or something else (laughs).Maybe I am saying all this because he is from outside the film industry and we are very happy together!Brainy or brawny?Definitely brainy because it’s only brain which makes one successful. Brawny people are mostly dumb. His beauty for you would be?Spiritual. I am heavily into spirituality and don’t believe in either inner or outer beauty. His sense of humour? It’s a must. This is what makes him unique. He rocks because of his amazing ability to make others laugh.Importance of calls and SMSes in a relationship? It’s an essential part in our lives now. In other words, it’s a must. How can a relationship survive without proper communication! The next level of your relationship? It’s secondary for me at the moment. I am into a serious committed relationship right now and so marriage and the next level, whatever that may mean, is not at all important for me.His metrosexuality?I don’t mind him being metrosexual. Unlike others, I would not say they (metrosexual men) are sissy. The most romantic getaway with him?It has to be Venice. It’s so beautiful! - Pratik Maheshwari. .

Meet happiest and the unhappiest actor in town
At the moment Zayed Khan is the happiest and the unhappiest actor from Bollywood. He's on top of the world because he'll be soon be shooting the first underwater song- sequence ever in Hindi cinema.Excited as hell Zayed who has been stationed in Bangkok and Phuket for the past month says, "It's never been done before. On the concept level itself it sounds too too outrageous…. The entire cast singing in the deep-sea. That's unique-man!"Hate to burst Zayed's bubble. But decades ago in Anmol Moti claiming to be India's first underwater film Jeetendra and Babita sang 'underwater', which was actually a swimming pool. So yes, Blue is the first Bollywood film that will have the entire cast of Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar, Lara, Katrina and Zyed doing a song sequence in the deep sea.A baffling concept for sure.Laughs Zayed, "Yes. But you've to see how we're going to do it. The director got the concept from an ad. We all jumped at it. It's not often that you get to do something so unique."But with the excitement comes the damper. Inclement weather in Bangkok is playing havoc with the Blue schedules.Says the anxious and depressed Zayed, "We knew it was going to rain in Bangkok and Phuket. But not like this! Apparently this area has never had so much rains. Every day we're losing precious time. Today again we're stuck indoors while it pours outside. The producers are losing Rs 25 lakhs per day. And moreover we can't extend the shooting because we—Sanju Sir, Akshay and I—can't give combined dates for a long time, " said Zayed on Saturday.A good excuse for the unit to bond? "Not really.I'd rather be back home with my wife Malli (Malaika) and son Zidaan. I miss them specially my son. I want to watch him grow, not be away for long periods from home and miss this phase in my son's life."Zidaan can't travel with Papa all the time. "He came with my wife to the Bahamas when we were shooting there. But he can't keep traveling all over. He has to develop an immunity system. I do miss my son. But my wife emails me his pictures every day." .

She is as excited as him to check him out in his first super hero avatar."One can remember, Abhishek making a late entry for Aishwarya's Jodhaa Akbar premiere held on February 14th at the Imax Multiplex in Wadala, Mumbai.Abhishek was shooting in Jaipur that time for Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Dilli 6. He was to reach on time but a flight delay made him arrive at the venue at around 11:30 pm just when the film was about to finish. But Aish won't be late and will attend the premiere along with Abhi. Amitabh and Jaya early next week at a Mumbai preview theatre by director Goldie Behl.Goldie is like family to the Bachchans and he wants to show them the film first before anyone else. Abhishek is a bundle of nerves and would most probably avoid being present at this special show." .
Minissha Lamba:If Kareena can wear a bikini why can't I
I don't know. You know, I've not been a big film buff. But I think in the seventies, we did have makers and an India which was very progressive. Then the 80's and the 90's were like the dark ages, which reflected in the cinemas as well. The quality of cinema went down. Now we have a very popular culture and the bikini is back in business. We wear equally sensuous Indian outfits as well. But when you wear a bikini, the westernised form of the ultimate sexy minimalistic outfit, there is a lot of curiosity out in India because we feel that the Indian women are shedding their so called shackles which are representative of conformist clothing.
Then you have actresses like Aishwarya, who've gone completely gorgeous in Dhoom 2, you've got Esha Deol and Bipasha Basu who're seen clad in a bikini. The recent was Kareena Kapoor in Tashan. So there is nothing that stops me from doing the same.Especially when you've got a vehicle that is going to present it well. When you have Sanjay Gadhvi coming to you and saying that I'm going to make you wear a bikini - you're not going to say no to it.What if some other director comes to you and asks you to wear a bikini in his or her film?
You know what; the whole novelty of doing it is wearing it once. What's the point of wearing a bikini in my next film release after Kidnap? We will come back to the bikini issue but tell us how did Sanjay Gadhvi manage to kidnap you for the film?
It was very simple actually. I was called for a general meeting at Shree Ashtavinayak's office, who are the producers of this film. I was then introduced to Sanjay Gadhvi. I didn't know that he was signed by the producers.
I had no idea about a film called Kidnap. I had no idea that the casting for such a film was happening there.
Sanjay started talking and eventually it turned out to be a work meeting. We spoke about the film and he told me straight on that this is what I'm looking at doing. You'll have to loose weight, you'll have to wear a bikini and you'll be dressed in ultra glam clothes. Are you up for it? That's what I like about his honesty. He put his cards on the table and said that this is it. I don't want trouble later on. I don't want you saying that this wasn't told to me. So if you're OK with it, we'll proceed.I had just seen Dhoom 2 then and didn't we just love Aishwarya in it? Couldn't we not take our eyes off Hrithik Roshan? So how could I say 'No' to Sanjay Gadhvi? I was ready...ready for the change.
Did you ever try wearing a bikini at home and look yourself in the mirror and say - Wow?Well, I do wear a bikini when I go swimming to the beach but not otherwise. I laze around in the sun and make sure I come back burnt to a crisp.
It's fun but for screen it's a whole new ball game. I did go back home and saw myself in the bikini. I was like - Oh my God! I need to do a lot of work. It was hard. Wearing a bikini is not easy. It is actually a very tension filled deadline because everyone is going to be looking at you.
Your mind is ready for it and your body is talking a completely different tune together. So you need to whip your body into shape and tell that this is what you are going to do.What different has Sanjay got out of you besides a great sexy body in a bikini in Kidnap?
That's exactly what I thought. The idea of wearing a two-piece is great but I'm getting kidnapped and a kidnapper is going to put me in a dark corner. Then what's different about my role?
Then he gave me the script to read and it's not as if I was getting kidnapped and put in a corner and she periodically comes out and creates a tantrum. It's not that at all. She is a very integral part of the story.
She and the kidnapper form a very weird bond, which is different. So, Sonia isn't just a fancy prop in the film. She is someone who is giving a hard time to Imran because on the one side, he has the father and on the other side, he has this rich spoilt brat to take care of.
Kidnap at one point of time was going to be shelved after Sanjay Dutt's imprisonment. What was going through your mind?We all were extremely worried. Ultimately, this is a film. At the end of the day we were worried that we knew Sanju baba was a part of the film before he got arrested. So you do think about the film being shelved or not.
Then you pause and think. Wait...this is a human being we are talking about. Projects take off and sometimes don't. It's a part of life and even the biggest of actors have got their films shelved for whatever reason. But this was a human being we are talking of right here and that was more important. Suddenly Sanju baba's trials, which we all used to read about in the papers, became humanised to us because we were a part of it.
The tragedy hit us and we started to think that this can't be happening to us. Please don't do this to him. Sanju baba has seen enough. Kidnap, the film, was secondary for us at that time.
He said, 'I have waited for four years for his dates, which means that tomorrow whatever happens, there will be only Sanjay Dutt playing the role of Vikrant Raina and nobody else'.
I love to see you in pain Minissha. Don't get me wrong. I'm talking about that one second scene in the trailer where Imran grabs your neck. Was it painful?
It was a beautifully shot scene, I should say. Imran would be very scared and he would gently hold my neck. I said to Imran that I have to resist you.
So if I'm going to resist Imran, he will have to hold on to my neck and grab it as if he was going to break it. He was like - Are you sure? I said, 'Imran, just go for it'. If you're going to grab my neck thinking that you're not going to hurt me, I'm just going to break free and the scene would look weird.
Imran is such a non-violent person that for him to do this role was really tough because he had to beat up a woman, he had to be cruel, he had to be physically violent, etc. I had to beg him that it was OK if he hurt me.
If he grabs my neck and it hurts, I'd love it. After the scene, he apologised to me too.
Is it the right time then to tell all the leading ladies of Bollywood, 'Bachna Ae Haseeno'?
October 2 shall tell them. .
Katrina Kaif se Bachna Ae Haseeno
Adhyayan, Anjana, Shahana confirmed for Jashn
Principal cast of Mukesh Bhatt's next film has finally been locked. Titled Jashn, the film would now star Adhyayan Suman, Anjana Sukhani, Shahana Goswami, and Pakistani import Humayun Saeed as the four principal protagonists.Confirms Raksha Mistry, co-director of Jashn who would be beginning work along with Hasnain Hyderabadwala for their third film together after The Killer and The Train, "Inshallah we are positively moving ahead with Jashn.Though there were names floating around in the media about the cast of the film, none of us from Vishesh Films were commenting or reacting to any speculation."Why were there murmurs all around? "In any filmmaking process, there is a casting cycle and narrations which go; that doesn't necessarily mean that anyone and everyone we meet would comprise of the final cast of the film", says Raksha in an exasperated tone.Firebrand Mukesh Bhatt doesn't any mince any word though, "There were talks about Sonu Sood walking out of the film. Hello, when did that happen? He was never in contention for the film since there isn't any part where he even fits in Jashn. These are all speculations because media has to fill in something everyday. If there is no news, the 'mantra' is to create one." How about Prachi Desai?"Well, it was indeed the case of her being unable to do the film as her contract in Abbas Mustan's film mandates her next release to be from their production house. Obviously, we could not have waited for that to happen since in six months flat, we would be ready for the release of Jashn, " says Mukesh Bhatt on the record. The film would be shot extensively in South Africa. Though earlier there were plans to shoot in Dubai, ultimately South Africa was the chosen destination. First schedule of the film would kick start on October 1 in Mumbai, which is expected to be at least a month long.Later, the cast and crew would move to South Africa. "We were looking at mid-September to begin the film but a 15 day postponement doesn't bother at all. It's ok, we should be able to cover it up, " says Mukesh Bhatt positively.A musical, Jashn would have music composed by both Indian as well as Pakistani artists. The film is aiming for a release in the first week of April. Also, there is a strong buzz that looking at the kind of response films like Awarapan and most recently Jannat have enjoyed in Pakistan, Jashn too would witness a parallel release in Pakistan once it arrives in Indian theaters. .

The shooting is expected to commence shortly.
Katrina to pair with SRK despite brawl with Salman
How does she know what Bhajji and I were doing in the room
"I have been in the industry for 3 years now and have seen and been a part of some really nasty reporting. But this one just reaches the ultimate depth. It is horrific to read something like this when all you wish to do is move on further in your career", one finds Geeta Basra in an inconsolable mood as she fumes. Reason? After a couple of attempts being made by a section of media to link her up with cricketer Harbhajan Singh, a leading tabloid in yesterday's edition went to the extent of creating a news around both, which as per Geeta was truly malicious."How could this journalist write something on the tune of 'Geeta spotted entering Harbhajan's room in a hotel'? Didn't she see other people around me? Did she peek into the room to see what these individuals were doing?Sorry, you can be naughty but certainly not cheesy! And if you ask me, this is downright cheap", says Geeta in a bitter tone.Wasn't she informed about such an article coming out? "In fact I was and that surprises me even more", reacts Geeta, "When she called me to know the truth behind me seen entering Bhajji's room, I told her that he was a friend and we do meet on a number of occasions. Also, I asked her to check out the entire group of friends that I was with along with my family members too. However, the worst part is that she not just conveniently ignored everyone other than me and Bhajji, she also chose to ignore whatever I had quoted on the records.Come on, you can't be making stories spicy at the cost of other person's reputation and image."Talking about the chat that she had immediately after the incident, Geeta admits that Bhajji wanted her to chill without worrying too much about the write-up, "He said that such things just come and go and it hardly matters to people who are close to you and understand you.Though he was relaxed about it, I can't get something like this over my mind.""I may come from UK and be forward thinking but this doesn't mean that my upbringing and attitude should be taken an advantage of. If I had a boyfriend, I won't hide him in a closet. But such below the belt maligning doesn't fly at all", Geeta gives warning signals here.Making her displeasure loud and clear, she adds on a parting note, "Just because you have a pen and a paper in your hands doesn't mean you can go round writing whatever you wish. That's irresponsible on the part of this journalist. And I am not blaming the media here since it isn't as if everyone has suddenly planned to gang up against me. However, when one or two individuals like these threaten to take the things too far, I am bound to react." .
Hrithik Roshan was badly missing his wife Suzanne
For last month and a half Hrithik Roshan is away from home shooting for his home production, Kites. It must be perhaps for the first time that has been away from his family from so long especially after the birth of his second child. Homesick, he summoned his wife and two kids to be with him in Las Vegas where he is presently held up shooting for Kites.Sources revealed, "Hrithik's shooting schedule abroad got a 15 days extension because of the Ike hurricane that created havoc in New Mexico where he was shooting for Kites. So instead of coming back to India on September 30th, his arrival back date got extended to October 15th. As he went to Las Vegas last week from New Mexico he began missing his two kids and wife Suzanne a lot. When he told so to his filmmaker dad, Rakesh Roshan who is present along with him as a producer of Kites, his dad wasted no time in making arrangements for getting his daughter in law and two grandchildren to give his lonesome son company. So last week, Suzanne and his two kids joined Hrithik in Las Vegas. A special get together was organised for their arrival in Hrithik's suite in a Las Vegas hotel where few select cast and crew members were invited."Kites also starring Brazilian actress Barbara Mori and Kangana Ranaut opposite Hrithik is scheduled for a May 2009 release. The next schedule of the film is going to take place in India from mid November onwards..

Shahid Kapoor :SRK thought I wasn't provided food
This weekend on 'Sajid Superstars', it is Shahid Kapoor's turn to get candid as he talks about his personal as well as professional life. While he shares little known facts about his early days in the world of glitz and glamour, he also reasons that there has to be a line drawn between personal and professional life.- One of the early incidents that Shahid narrates on the show is set in the time when he was working with Shiamak Davar's dance troupe.Shah Rukh Khan once dropped in at a show and on seeing Shahid, he immediately questioned Shiamak if he didn't feed his troupe members well. Reason behind the question?Shahid was quite thin and lanky in his early days and was nowhere close to as well built as he is today. Coming back to the comment, Shahid took it quite personally and started working hard on his body.- Shahid also talks about how he lacked confidence in his teenage years due to his physique. His confidence did get a boost though when his first music video was out.Ever famous 'Aankhon Mein Tera Hi Chehra' featured him along with his then girlfriend Hrishita Bhatt and gained quite some popularity for itself. One day he saw some girls talking about the video and exclaiming 'Oh so cute'.He obviously thought that the compliments were for him but on close hearing, he realized that they were talking about the dog in the video!- Another fact from the past which is revealed is about his dance performance alongside Aishwarya Rai years back. It is not known to all but the fact is that in the movie Taal, he was one of the background dancers from Shiamak Davar's troupe for the number 'Kahin Aag Lage Lag Jaaye'!- Apparently. there was no love lost between Fardeen Khan and Shahid Kapoor during the shooting of Fida (which incidentally also starred Kareena Kapoor), Sajid Khan questions him on what had gone wrong.- There are light moments in the show as well as the Sania Mirza reference comes in, though in a subtle manner. As Shahid disclosed that Tennis is his favorite sport with Federer and Martina Navratilova being his favorite tennis players, Sajid cheekily asked him if there was some 'young Indian female tennis player' who was his favorite!- Shahid mentioned though that a line had to be drawn between one's personal life and professional life and maintained that one had to do a balancing act to get things moving.- In one of the most popular sections of 'Sajid Superstars', Shahid's best and worst scenes from chosen from Jab We Met and Vaah Life Ho To Aisi respectively. Any guesses around these scenes?- He was politically correct when asked to choose the better dancer between him and Hrithik Roshan. Though he managed to dodge the query and come out unscathed, there is some fun in store as Sajid's own performance on the number 'Tamma Tamma Loge' (Thandedaar) in a college function would be showcased for the first time on television.- About his personal life, Shahid admitted that he was a vegetarian by choice. He also confessed that he is actually quite a boring person. He was also asked that if he was not successful as an actor, would he have been an architect or a doctor? Any guesses around what would Shahid' have opted for?- Last but not the least; an interesting trivia was unearthed on the show. While Shahid has worked with Sanjay Dutt in Vaah Life Ho To Aisi, his mother too has acted with Sanju baba a few years back!.

Drona is my biggest, my best: Abhishek Bachchan
The countdown has begun for the two biggies that are slated for release this Idd: DRONA and KIDNAP. A lot is riding on these two films. In terms of economics, both are expensive films. Plus, the careers of Abhishek Bachchan (DRONA) and Imran Khan (post JAANE TU… YA JAANE NA) are at stake. Will DRONA live up to the humungous expectations?"It's my biggest and best film so far," Abhishek Bachchan tells me. He's supremely confident this time. "I don't speak like this, do I? But DRONA is different. It's the most expensive film I am associated with. Besides, Goldie (Behl; the director) has executed the subject remarkably," he states.Abhishek and Goldie have got together after more than seven years (BAS ITNA SA KHWAB HAI was released in July 2001).In between, in 2006, Goldie had plans of making a thriller with Abhishek, but decided on making an adventure fare instead. "Goldie was disheartened after his debut film failed. Later, he diversified into television; he wanted to make his company secure before he announced his next film," Abhishek reminisces.Abhishek credits his directors for the (sterling) performances he has delivered in films like YUVA and GURU (Mani Ratnam) as also SARKAR and SARKAR RAJ (RGV)."If at all DRONA works -- and I hope it does -- Goldie should get the credit for it. He has worked very, very hard. I am sure, the Indian audiences haven't seen an adventure film like DRONA before," he says confidently.Abhishek has worked in the DHOOM series as also SARKAR and its sequel. There's talk that a sequel to DRONA is in the offing."Oh yes! Goldie has written so much in the intervening period that he's ready to take the DRONA series forward. In fact, the possibility of a sequel can easily be explored," he adds..
All is not well in Soha and Siddharth's love life
Soha Ali Khan recently hinted in all her interviews at all being well in her love life but we have found out her claims don't exactly hold true under the latest developed circumstances. The love birds Soha and Siddharth have been fighting yet again of late. Our source close to Soha revealed, "Siddharth is a very busy star down South. He is settled in Chennai but has to constantly keep shuffling between Chennai - Hyderabad and Mumbai thanks to his shooting commitments.Though he is a Tamilian he hardly acts in Tamil films and is extremely popular and busy doing Telugu films post the stupendous success of his romantic comedy, Bommarilu. What irks Soha is that since he is not doing anything much in Chennai why doesn't he leave the port city for good and settle in Mumbai itself along with her and keep shuffling between Mumbai - Hyderabad. Siddharth was in Mumbai last week and stayed as usual in Soha's flat for a few days. This time they both had heated arguments over this matter. While Soha kept persisting, Siddharth was not interested in moving in to Mumbai at all.The arguments reached such a point that he left Mumbai a day early than he had scheduled.""Siddharth's career despite a rocking debut in Rang De Basanti has not really picked up in Mumbai. He was promised many big films but none fell in his lap. Even mentor Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra ditched him at the last minute for Dilli 6.Its been more than a 2 and a half years since Rang De released. With no film released yet since then, Siddharth is in a mood to wrap the projects in hand in Bollywood and settle in Chennai for good. Soha is completely against this.Everytime its been Soha who has taken the initiative for a patch up after they both have fought. It looks hard this time that she will make the first move." the source added. .

Daler is the highest paid singer in Bollywood
Daler Mehndi with his newly hiked rate has become the highest paid singer in the Bollywood music industry presently. He has hiked his rate per song to a mind boggling Rs. 5 lakhs!Daler's in his justification of the same states, "I have a 90% hit ratio where film songs are concerned. Irrespective of the film becoming a hit or not most of my songs have become extremely popular with the masses as well as the classes."I have realized when a film becomes a huge musical hit, the singers, especially very popular singers like me are never passed on the benefit for the same. Plus I want to create a niche market for myself. I don't want to sing for any film that comes my way. I would love to work with only those big filmmakers who can afford my price. But looking at the kind of offers I am getting nowadays I don't think so my big price is being a hurdle at all!"But isn't such a high price only worth for veteran singers of a caliber like Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle?"With due respect to their extremely high talent and their seniority, I am also having my share of huge popularity across the globe. My songs are loved everywhere and my private albums have been very popular." replies Daler."With big corporate giants funding mega budget films, now every one related to the film worth his talent wants to take advantage and extract his pound of flesh and Daler is no exception." quoted a music director who is presently judging a famous singing reality show.In today's times a regular singer like Shaan or a KK get somewhere around 25-40 thousand rupees per song depending on the banner. Sonu Nigam too has started demanding Rs 2 lakh plus per song now. -Sampurn .
Diana Hayden will win Bigg Boss
Alina Wadiwalla, who has been voted out of reality show "Bigg Boss" this week, is miffed with co-participant and item girl Sambhavna Seth for having allegedly betrayed her.Alina, the only non-celebrity inmate on the show, said, "I always shared her (Sambhavna's) sorrows and she back-stabbed me. I always used to console and pacify her, but she betrayed me by nominating me.""When she used to vomit, I used to bring her a bucket and clean up. When she was not well, I used to take her to the loo. After doing so much for her, I wasn't expecting this in return. I felt so bad," she said. The reality show required her to be locked in a specially designed house with celebrity inmates for three months under 24-hour camera surveillance, with no access to the outside world.A professional wedding photographer based in Britain, Alina is a tad disappointed on being eliminated from the show."I'm a little disappointed because I did have my own plans after winning the show, but I'm happy that I have left it in good faith. I know I didn't do anything wrong or never cheated on anybody, so I'm happy," Alina said.Alina stayed in the house for a month and a week. During her stay, she managed the kitchen and cleaning, and mostly maintained a calm demeanour. Now that she is out of the house, Alina has no immediate plans to return back to work. She is happy being "back home" with her family, especially her identical twin sister Sana, who visited her at the Bigg Boss' house last week. What upset her most in "Bigg Boss" was when her housemates changed their choices when open nominations took place last Monday to oust one of the participants."I felt like a victim. I know it wouldn't have been the same had the nomination taken place in the confession room because it was all planned. With that nomination, the honesty and humanity of each and everyone was clear."People had double standards and I felt hurt when I was told that I was creating misunderstandings between people and that's the reason I was being nominated," Alina said. She alleged that Sambhavna had nominated her just because it was an open nomination this time, instead of inside the confession room. She added that Sambhavna may have named Payal Rohatgi, whom she dislikes, if it was a closed nomination. All said and done, Alina says she is missing her house mates and hopes to meet them as and when they come out. The young girl feels Diana Hayden, who was the wild card entry to the show, will go on to win."Diana will win the show because she has a relaxed approach towards things and also her tough experiences in life will help her sail through."Currently, Sambhavna, actress Payal Rohatgi, comedian Ehsaan Qureshi, model Zulfi Syed, late Bhartiya Janta Party leader Pramod Mahajan's son Rahul, Diana and reality show winners Ashutosh Kaushik and Debojit Saha are in the "Bigg Boss" house. .
