Contrary to reports that Shah Rukh Khan's shoulder would've healed on its own if he didn't have to do serious stunts right away, the actor's shoulder needed immediate and urgent repairing.Says a source, "As usual Shah Rukh was busy making light of his discomfort even hours after surgery. But the fact is, the injury was far more serious than it appeared.The doctors had recommended quick and urgent surgery months ago. But the workaholic that he is, Shah Rukh kept postponing the inevitable surgery until after Karan Johar's schedule of My Name Is Khan and the promotion of Billu Barbar."The healing process after the surgery is going to take at least a couple of months. Says a source, "Karan Johar has willingly postponed the next schedule.But Shabana Azmi who was supposed to play Shah Rukh's mother would not have the required dates. Her role would now have to be recast as per Shah Rukh's recovery and renewal of shooting."Meanwhile Amitabh Bachchan also visited Shah Rukh Khan at his residence Mannat here."I had sent him (Shah Rukh) a message for his speedy recovery. He called back to thank and inform me that he is home. 'I was getting depressed in hospital, so came away', he said, " Amitabh posted on his blog.Amitabh messaged him: "I was planning to visit you in the hospital" and Shah Rukh replied saying: "Come home sir, we shall play some games.""Don't take after surgery too lightly, I warned him and take rest and do not get into any kind of activity. Aishwarya Rai beats Khans, is most bankable Indian star

Forbes has listed Aishwarya Rai as India's most bankable star in Hollywood, pushing down the Khans of Bollywood in the ratings of the best bet for a film's financial success.Aishwarya is among six Bollywood actors in the new Forbes list of Hollywood's Most Valuable Actors. Other Indians on the list compiled by the American business magazine are Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Irrfan Khan and Hrithik Roshan.Although at 387th position in the global list of as many as 1,411 actors from across the world, Aishwarya is ranked highest among all Indian actors and is the only female actor from the country who made it to this elite club.The list also includes Indian American actor Kal Penn, whose films include "The Namesake". At 476th position, he is ranked higher than all the Bollywood actors, except Aishwarya Rai, who stars in the new Hollywood venture "The Pink Panther 2".Among the male Bollywood actors, Aamir is ranked highest at 540th in the global list, followed by Shah Rukh (735), Salman (753), Irrfan (825) and Hrithik (1,059).The global list, topped by Hollywood actor Will Smith, is based on the bankability of actors around the world as voted by members of the global entertainment industry, Forbes said.Smith is the only actor to get a ten-on-ten score and is followed by four Hollywood stars - Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Angelina Jolie - sharing the second position.These are followed by Tom Hanks, George Clooney, Denzel Washington, Matt Damon and Jack Nicholson in the top 10. .

Shah Rukh Khan now takes full-on interest in the music of his films. That's how he came up with the words Love mera hit hi for Billu Barber. When Shah Rukh approached Gulzar Saab with his words, the poet declined to use them.Shah Rukh and Gulzar go back a long way.Marjani from Billu Barber is not the first Shah Rukh Khan number written by that poet extraordinare Gulzar to displease a group of protestors.Recalling his earlier SRK-song to get a group's goat Gulzar Saab says, "In Chaiyyan chaiyyan for Dil Se some people objected to the use of the word tabeez. Now in Marjani they think object to the word hazur, I believe," says Gulzar from Lucknow where he's not too clearly clued into the developments in Mumbai."All I can say in my defence is that the word hazur in Marjani isn't referring to the Prophet Mohamed. It means 'presence'. I am sorry if I've hurt anyone's sentiments. I'm sorry if some people have misunderstood what I've written. I'm very very careful about the words that I use. In fact I left Billu midway for this reason," Gulzar Saab shocks by divulging.The mukhda of the aforementioned Love mera hit hit was first offered to Gulzar Saab by composer Pritam, and the lyricist refused to use the words. Says Gulzar Saab, "Pritam protested that the words were given to him by Shah Rukh and had to be used. When I refuses Shah Rukh came home a number of times to convince me. I reluctantly turned him down.He even suggested that I write whatever I wanted and his words Love mera hit hit would be fitted into my lyrics. But that's not the way I work. I never will. So I wrote just three of the songs in Billu and left the project. "Gulzar Saab doesn't allow even a word of his lyrics to be tampered with. "There have been a number of occasions when I've opted out because I wasn't comfortable with the words that I was supposed to write. "During Sanjay Chel's Khubsoorat Gulzar Saab opted out when the director wanted a word substituted by another."But the funniest incident occurred when I wrote the children song Chaddhi pehan ke phool khila hai for Jungle Book. Someone said the word chaddhi was vulgar. Could I change it to lungi? I stuck to my chaddhi. "And now Gulzar Saab is all set to attend the Oscars. "If my suit is ready in time. Or if I get the right fit from Maganlal Dresswala (the oldest provider of costumes for film units)," jokes the poet..

Akshaye Khanna, my Chess friendThere is an interesting episode that Katrina narrates about her shoot for Race. When Katrina approached Akshaye to talk to him, he used to reply in short sentences (in his characteristic style). Once, when he was playing chess, Katrina asked him if she could join in too. Soon, it became their routine on the sets during each and every break during the film's shoot. Today, in hindsight, she believes that Akshaye was smart enough to shut Katrina by making her play the game. Reason? During the game of chess one can't talk much and hence it was the best idea that Akshaye applied to keep her quiet! My food? Rice in milk!Guess what's Katrina's favorite food? Well, it is rice in milk with sugar and cardamom. She likes simple food, so much so that her cook is always wondering about her taste since she prefers bland food with little or no spices.

While Katrina's six sisters are very much talked about, not many are aware that she also has an elder brother. An adventurous sort who likes skiing and mountain climbing, he is supposed to be quite tough and protective of his sisters.

Amitabh Bachchan who?
Though Katrina Kaif had started her career with Amitabh Bachchan in Boom, she didn't know who he was. She was very new to the industry at that time and didn't have any clue about his status in the film fraternity. When she was offered this role by Kaizad Gustad, everything was very new for her. She was casual as any new comer would be and it was only later did she realize that Mr. Bachchan was indeed a big name.
Farhan, get some better PJs!The pretty lady does have guts and confidence. In the show, when Farhan was getting carried away with his PJs, Katrina offered help. She thought that she could help him with good PJs and also probably write better lines for him in the next episode. Oops!Anil Kapoor's compliment? Should I talk about it?
Though she is said to be Akshay Kumar's current favorite when it comes to co-stars, the fact remains that she has worked with Anil Kapoor too in quite a few films. Bollywood's much talked jodi Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapur who had a much talked about break up not very long ago will be seen together. But it's not a new film.It's a film that has been pending for long. The film is Boney Kapoor's 'Milenge Milenge' directed by Satish Kaushik.The buzz is that after their breakup, the dubbing of the film came to a halt but now that things are not volatile, both of them decided to dub for the film.Shahid has already completed his portion and now Bebo is set to dub her part. Mannat under attack: Shah Rukh is scared

Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan said Friday he was worried for the safety of his wife and two children after his house Mannat was attacked by unknown people who had apparently misinterpreted the lyrics of a song in just-released "Billu" and reacted."I got scared. I got worried about my children and wife, but they are fine. I don't think there is any place safer than my home. I'm in London for a check up. I will be back home the day after tomorrow," Shah Rukh told a TV channel over phone from London. Clarifying the confusion about the lyrics, the actor said: "They thought we are referring to the Prophet in the song. But it has been sorted out. They have seen the film and now its clear to them that the lyrics weren't referring to the Prophet." A burning kerosene bottle had been thrown in the premises of his sea facing house Mannat early in the morning. According to an officer of Bandra Police station, two men came to Shah Rukh's bungalow, at Bandra Bandstand around 2.30 a.m. They lit a bottle full of kerosene and flung it over the gates before fleeing. The security guards were caught unawares, the police said.The police said a case was registered and they are searching for the culprits. There was no damage to property as the flaming missile landed in the garden. .
