The iMu Vibrating Speaker is now available in Japan via Thanko. The tiny speaker uses the vibration-based technology to convert any flat and hard surface into a speaker. The gadget comes equipped with a USB port and a 3.5mm audio input. The iMu Vibrating Speaker retails for 4,280 Yen ($47).

After releasing the Etymotic ER-200 personal noise dosimeter earlier this year, the company comes back with their latest earphones and headphones. The Etymotic hf3 headset for the iPod, iPhone and iPad provides the best accuracy and noise reduction in its class. It has a three-button in-line remote and a built-in microphone for holding conversations and controlling music or calls. Available in three different colors, the Etymotic hf3 retails for $179. Each purchase comes with four eartips.

Priced at $129, the Etymotic etyBLU2 Bluetooth headset provides 30dB of noise cancellation at the microphone and at the ear for clear conversations when speaking or listening. This headset also has a flexible boom and a bi-directional microphone. What’s more, the etyBLU2 also adopts the multi-point technology to pair with up to two Bluetooth handsets simultaneously. The entry-level MC-5 earphones and MC-3 headset provide a unique chamber design for improved dynamics that acts like a three-band equalizer. They are priced at $79 and $99, respectively.

It is always interesting to track the advancements of battery technology and Sony has just released a really interesting new 1.2kWh-class Energy Storage Module. The most notable feature here is the use of li-ion rechargeable batteries that have cathodes made from a material called “olivine-type lithium iron phosphate cell”. This will allow for higher power output, long life performance and excellent thermal stability. The device will be able to be used as a supplement to stationary power supplies for data servers or as a backup supply for mobile phone wireless base stations.

Designed by Kyung Guk Lee, the E-Rope is able to generate power to charge a pair of AA batteries in each handle. The designer says 20 minutes of jumping would fully charge all four AA batteries. Sadly, it is only a concept so far. You can watch the video after the jump to get more details.

If you are searching for a new portable voice recorder this week, then check out the Voice Trek DM-4 from Olympus. The gadget features a 2.2-inch color LCD screen with a QVGA resolution (320 x 240), an integrated “text to speech” function and an 8GB of internal memory (expandable via microSD / SDHC cards). The Voice Trek DM-4 can record sound in Linear PCM mode, (48 kHz/ 16bit) MP3 mode (44.1 kHz/ 320kbps) and WMA mode. Its Lithium ion battery provides enough juice for up to 12-hour in Linear PCM mode. Measuring 45mm x 113mm x 15mm and weighing 98grams, this portable voice recorder is priced at 30,000 Yen or approx. $327.

Razer and Blizzard Entertainment have joined together to release three new StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty-branded gaming peripherals, which consist of the Razer Spectre StarCraft II gaming mouse, the Razer Marauder StarCraft II gaming keyboard and the Razer Banshee StarCraft II gaming headset.

The Razer Spectre StarCraft II is a lightweight, five-button mouse designed to provide precision and control for RTS gamers. The Razer Spectre features the newly developed APM (Actions-Per-Minute) Lighting System with a multi-color LED that provides real-time performance feedback through changing lighting hues and adjustable mouse button force settings for optimal mouse click speed and control. JK Shin, the president of Samsung’s mobile communications division, has confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Tab will be launched in the third quarter of 2010, which ends in June. This Apple iPad competitor is powered by a 1.2GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor, Android 2.2 OS, a 4,000mAh battery and a 7-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen, which will be viewable outdoors. The gadget also has a 16GB of internal storage, which is expandable via a microSDHC card slot (up to 32GB).

Samsung has once again expanded its line of hard drives with the introduction of the Spinpoint F4. Coming in 3.5-inch form factor, this new 320GB drive features a SATA 3.0 Gbps interface, an 8MB or 16MB of buffer memory and offers a working speed of 7200 RPM.
